Pennies and dimes for a kiss

When your parents are like “Learn how to drive! How come you won’t learn how to drive? Why don’t you have your license yet? You really need to learn how to drive…You’re behind everyone else, learn how to drive.”

So you try to make a permit appointment and you’re like, “What’s a good day for you guys? I’m trying to make an appointment to go take my permit test.” And they just respond, “Can we do this later? I don’t have time now.”

You realize it’s never going to get done if you wait for them, so you take the initiative and make the appointment yourself and you go with your best friends and you pass the test and get your permit.

And your parents are like, “You need to practice driving. You need to get your license. Get lots of practice, you need to go driving.”

So you get ready and go ask your parents, “Who wants to take me out driving? Are you guys busy? Can one of you take me driving? Who wants to teach me to drive?” but you just get ignored and no one responds.

And people wonder why I don’t have my license.
